Futurama What-If Machine Mini TV – Prototype Preview
Good news everyone!
Something new has landed on the workbench at Ape Technology… and this time it’s from the year 3000.
I’ve been working on a new mini TV design inspired by the famous What-If Machine from Futurama: The device Professor Farnsworth uses to answer life’s most important questions.
What if Bender were human?
What if Fry never froze himself?
What if you could keep a tiny Futurama machine on your desk playing episodes all day?
Well… now you can.
A Prototype for Futurama Fans
Right now what you’re seeing is very much a prototype.
The colours, details and final design are not finished yet. This version exists mainly to test the concept and get something into the hands of Futurama fans while I refine the final version.
Think of it as the early experimental version straight out of Farnsworth’s lab.
Over the next few weeks I’ll be refining:
• The colour scheme
• Some cosmetic details
• Minor improvements to the case design
• Overall finish and presentation
But the core idea is already working beautifully.
How It Works
Just like my other mini TVs, the What-If Machine runs on the same reliable system.
Inside is a Raspberry Pi running a custom-configured operating system designed for:
• Fast boot times
• Reliable playback
• High quality audio
• Long-term durability
Load up the episodes, switch it on, and your miniature Futurama machine comes to life.
Simple.
Coming Soon
The finished version of the What-If Machine TV will be launching within the next few weeks once the design is finalized.
If you’re a Futurama fan and like the idea of a miniature machine that plays episodes from the show… keep an eye on this space.
More updates coming soon.
